Soo it's kind of been a while since I posted, but I'm finally back with 4 coords and a lot of photos!

Skirt - PUTUMAYO
Bag - Jane Marple
Teddy - Jane Marple
Socks - Vivienne Westwood

I put together this coord for a zine I'm contributing to with a bunch of other oldschoolers. It's quite similar to a coord I wore last year, as it has the same top and skirt combo, but I decided to wear it with my new Vivienne Westwood socks, and do something different with my hair. I was going for an edgy vibe, obviously ;)
Top - MILK
Skirt - Sweetie
Socks - Innocent World
Shoes - Antaina
Bag - Metamorphose Temps De Fille
Accessory - Hello Kitty Instax
In July I finally met up with my friends after months without socialising irl, which I sorely needed. We went to get bubble tea at a new bubble tea place that opened up; they had this cute little set up for photographs, which was cute as it matched my coord really well! Later on in the day we fed the swans, ducks and other birds at the park. Don't worry, the cafe next to the pond sell bags of seeds to give them, so no bread for them~
I based my coord around the MILK top I got for my birthday which I was so excited about, as I love the stripey red and pink sleeves. I went with black socks and shoes for the FRUiTS vibe, and I really like how it looks. Man I just love how black socks look in mostly non black coords! I thought my Hello Kitty Instax camera would make a cute accessory, plus I could get a cute photo (which is further down the blog)
I actually originally wore these little braids I'd made out of thread, inspired by several FRUiTS snaps (not necessarily lolita ones). However I ended up taking them off because they kind of ended up clumping together, and I think I need more of them. I'm also not really sure how to make them look more 'right'.
I look so orange because I turned up the saturation ; A ; |

I didn't wear lolita for a while after that until early August, when I wore something so I could photograph a makeup tutorial for the zine. I didn't actually plan this coord ahead of time, I just picked one of my easiest dresses to wear and decided I wanted to wear it with my amazing new shoes. So I ended up going with all white accessories (other than my teddy bag) as that's not a way I generally coorded this OP.
The headdress in the selfie is by Chattering, I decided to change it to the Baby one when I decided on all white accessories.
Since I got all dressed all dressed up I decided to go on a little walk. I filmed on my phone using Snow, but I miss my camcorder! I wish it still worked :(
Anyway, here's my amazing shoes, I love them so much! They have such an amazing shape, especially the heel; when I saw them on aliexpress I thought they'd work perfectly for oldschool as they're very 90s in style.
Then last week we had our first comm meet up since this whole pandemic happened. It's easy enough while it's summer since we can all hang out outside, I just hope things are even more okay by autumn. We had a new member come along and she was really nice, we all got along really well and I hope she comes to more meets~!
I'm still working through new items, so this time I decided to wear the Heart E skirt I bought with birthday money, and of course my beautiful new shoes. The skirt was harder to wear than I'd expected though, as it looked weird with my Classical Puppets petticoat, but I worried it looked too deflated with my BTSSB and bodyline pettis. But I went with the latter in the end.

Annoyingly I didn't get a proper coord photo with my cardigan on, but I really liked how it looked, so I took this mirror shot when I got home. And have some candids I got from the video Amelia took.
It was a lovely chill meet where we each brought our own picnic blanket and food to help with being safe. We got bubble tea too, and just spent the time chatting and getting coord photos.
Amelia filmed some of the picnic~
a bunch of cuties |
This one was taken while I held Bernie's Kumakumya bag for her while she got some coord photos.
Shhhh |
After we took our coord photos, we got asked by some footballers to take a photo with them. They were polite so we agreed. It was pretty amusing~
We noticed that we all ended up wearing checkered main pieces except for Amelia. Naturally we all bullied her because of this (I'm kidding, obv)
As usual, I'd love to hear from you so please do comment~!
Haha you were probably the highlight of the footballers' day! Beautiful coords and the video was a treat.
ReplyDeleteLol yeah probably. Thank you~! <3
Deletei recently got into this aesthetics, thanks for the inspiration. these are really cool
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks~ :)
DeleteThe Heart E skirt looks just right to me, neither too much nor too little poof. It's probably my favourite coord of the four here, it just looks so cute in how simple it is, every piece adds something of value and nothing disappears in the background overshadowed by bigger things.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Sometimes it's really helpful to get someone else's perspective~!
DeleteI love how mixed a pink cutesy coord with more edgy pieces it totally works. Also you look stunning in red. Old-school totally suits you.
ReplyDeleteThank you! ^o^
