January - March 2017 ∣ Throwback

 

So I accidentally left it 3 years again but here's another throwback blog, we're onto 2017!

I actually don't recall whether this coord or the next were the true first coord of 2017, but I'm pretty sure I wore them reasonably close together so it doesn't matter much. I put together this kuro coord to hang out with Lucy, just to run some errands and probably go to a cafe.

Around the same time on another day in January 2017, Lucy came over and we had a little tea party. I put together a simple coord with my MAM OP. I really wanted this brown hime wig to work but tbh I hated it, the cut and proportions were off!

Still in January, my comm  had a science themed meet at a museum. I decided to forgo oldschool for once and put together a coord with the Violet Fane skirt & tights I'd recently bought, going for a vintagey vibe. I thought the skirt would go well with my vintage blouse, and borrowed a corset from a friend which reminds me of those vintage medical corsets. I tried a vintage updo with my hair too. I wore my favourite necklace, a doll hand, that I never wear because it always falls off the chain and I'm always worried I'll lose it. Lastly I finished off the look with my lovely vintage red and white teddy which I gave a bandage as he is my patient.

There was a TARDIS! Obviously I had to get pic. There were also a lot of creepy wax figures.

In February my comm had a vaguely Harry Potter themed meet (don't judge, it was a different time! Before JKR was a mental, mould-riddled transphobe). I didn't go hard on the theme but I did make my coord a little bit school themed with my tie. 

I thought the black and white with the peeking bloomers, the ringlets and the tie was such a cute combination. I originally wanted to wear a red beret but I didn't have one, so a friend said they'd bring one to the meet and I wore the red x white headdress until then, but then I really liked it so didn't even change into the beret! But that's actually how I got my red beret lol.

Despite being at the venue we usually watched films at, I don't think we watched anything this time, it was just used as a private space.

At the beginning of March I attended a chill meet up at Helena's house where we did some scrapbooking. I put together a simple coord with my A+Lidel jumperskirt. I think if I had my frienge this would've been cuter, but I must have been growing it out at the time.

In March the comm had an old school themed meet, which I believe I may have hosted. It was just a fairly casual meet, going to cafe and then shopping and taking photos. I put together a sweet coord with a punky vibe, pairing my tartan AP jumperskirt with striped tights and a tie. This would've been cute, but I also decided to wear a ringlet wig and not wear petti, which I think just threw off the coord in a way I don't really like. I should've chosen either the wig or the socks.

Also in March I put together this coord. I don't remember if it was for anything in particular or if I just felt like it, but I really love how it and the photos turned out! I went for a imple but cute black and white coord and tried something different with my hair and accessorised with a tiny Claire's tiara. I loved that tiara so much, it has since broken and I really miss wearing it, I hope I can find something similar eventually to fill that mini tiara shaped hole.
